Crystal Readings
Crystals make a splendid base for the symbolic arts of metaphysical reading. With care in selection one can leverage the geometry, color and other physical features of crystals to conduct readings in much the same manner as with the many card type reading systems that are readily available. There are a number of books on the market which document this approach. One such volume is Crystal Decoder by Lilly. Another example is Crystal & Gemstone Divination by Gail Butler. I am sure that many others could be found from older publishing efforts. Both authors employ a variety of crystalline materials in conducting readings. The focus in both of the books above mentioned is primarily on tumble polished pieces. Tumble polished stones are readily available, for the most part--- inexpensive, and there are about a hundred or so consistently produced types of tumble stones on the market.

This is the first entry for this blog
Today I will be visiting a store called Mystique Boutique. The owner follows the craft and her store is stocked with items that will wind up used in spells and charms. She also stocks books and jewelery and has a few stones for sale. I try to be at her store to do crystal readings every other Friday from about 11:00 AM when the store opens. I try to stay till the store closes around 6:00 PM.
Crystals, gems, minerals, stones, rocks, and other earth materials offer a universally available means to connect with the soul of mother earth. This blog is dedicated to all things of the rock and mineral world. Both science and mysticism hold an important place in THE WAY. In order to maintain balance each perspective deserves honor and respect. One without the other seems to me to lack holistic appeal. I hope that you will enjoy my lively blend of science and mysticism as the pages of this blog unfold.
